The Tri-Rivers Conference was formed in 1967 with eight original members: Alburnett, Central City, Center Point, East Buchanan, Edgewood-Colesburg, Maquoketa Valley, North Linn, and Springville. Although membership has changed over the last 40 years, the conference remains strong in athletics, music, band, and speech. In addition to these activities, the conference also hosts a yearly art festival.

The Tri-Rivers Conference is comprised of the following ten schools:
